Craig Gordon
Geographic Information Systems Manager
Mr. Gordon is the GIS Manager for El Rio Sol Transmission.
As the GIS Manager, Craig Gordon’s responsibilities encompass directing and managing geospatial data pertaining to development of the El Rio Sol Transmission project in a variety of interrelated disciplines and is the primary contact for outside agencies when dealing with geographic data, data standards, and integration of geographic data sets.
Craig received a B.A. in Forest Management from Northern Arizona University and an M.A. in Forest Management from Yale University and has over 38 years of experience in natural resource management, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and Global Positioning Systems (GPS).
His previous positions include Director, GIS Service Center, Fort Mojave Indian Tribe; V.P. of Operations for GIS Southwest, Inc.; GIS Data Coordinator for the El Rio Sol Transmission Project; and Program Director for the R&D Program within the Navajo Nation Forestry Department.
